You will then go into the tea fields for in-depth instruction on how the plants are grown pruned and cared for, the different cultivars, current trends in Japan surrounding new cultivars, traditional and modern harvesting methods and in-depth knowledge on what gives the tea its distinct umami flavor.
In addition to the tea plantation tour, this experience includes a tea inspired lunch, tea tasting and instruction how to optimally brew different teas. It's Tea Time
The Ujitawara experience, typically reserved from public access, allows for an intimate encounter with Ujitawara regional tea cultivation, providing a rare glimpse into practices passed down from generation to generation whilst walking thru the land that sustains and inspires.
New Tea Traditions
The Wazuka experience provides insight into a tea farm established by innovative individuals who, without backgrounds in farming or possessing local heritage, have through dedicated trial and error, grown to become on of the regions’ largest tea producers.
