Sweets Foodie Tour

The Wonders of Wagashi

Wagashi, deeply influenced by Japanese tea ceremony, is a general term for traditional Japanese sweets. Spilt into three categories: moist, semi-dried and dried, they are mildly flavored and traditionally made of plant-based ingredients such as rice, wheat, and beans.

Largely reminiscent of the changing seasons, the aesthetic quality is treasured as each confectionery captures the seasons thru appearance and flavor.
