煎茶道 Sencha Tea Ceremony

Subtle Changes With Time

In both a visual and gastronomical delight, wagashi (traditional Japanese confections) will be served to allow for discernment between the first seep and the second, often sweeter seep.

Take a moment to admire the chawan (tea cups), chataku (coaster) as well as the teapot in which the second seep will be served.

Savor The Flavor

Deep, sweet and refreshing, you will be served either gyokuro or sencha carefully brewed in tea utensils reflecting the changing seasons. As the room fills with the scent of the tea, admire the writing on the scroll, along with the flowers and allow all your senses to be present.
